Rant #572

Okay, so I just made that number up on the spot. It makes me sound like I actually still write on this thing, which isn't precisely...precise.

Oh I freaking LOVE Christmas music!!! Unfortunately it has the negative effect of sending me into a nostalgic stupor and I can't get anything done. Not like that's a bad thing, though! Yeah! Actually I'm well shot of school right now. To be completely truthful, (and British) I'd much rather be pulling a certain fit boy. But enough of that, he's currently being somewhat of a Toff. So now I shall talk briefly about why I love my job. First of all, at no other point have I been able to rock an 80's headset and feel as totally fly as I do on Tuesdays. I get to interview awesome people, boss around the littleuns who don't realize that they're probably anywhere from 2 to 4 years older than I am (he he he), be on TV...which is actually my least favorite part... hang out with Cosmo, say things like "No, I can't I've got a shoot later" and "my team should be here any minute". Way freaking awesome. Plus, my director is an all-out hoot. And there's something so entertaining about sitting in a really professional atmosphere (or a really religious one, like a Monson devo) and trying not to laugh while he says really irreverant things that only I can hear, such as "man, you suck. most terrible prayergiver ever. pull out now while you still can, eject! EJECT!!!" So great.

I love technology. Now that I think about it I also love walking across campus with my iPod on and changing my step every time a new song comes on. Or giggling to myself with glee while listening to Brian Reagan on the way to class. Then again, other people might think I'm a little strange... but so what? Headphones are like a dual purpose tool, they can provide entertainment while also giving you a concrete excuse not to talk to anyone. Which is nice when you get to the point where your brain is about to explode and you can't remember anyone's name. (You can only get away with the "hey man" or the "what's up stranger?" so many times.)

I'm bored now. Peace on earth and good will toward men.
